ποΈ Our School & Class Structure
At our school, weβve designed a learning environment that promotes long-term mentorship, academic mastery, and team-based growth. Our structure is rooted in clarity, purpose, and progression β ensuring every student is supported and challenged as they grow.
πΉ Three Grade Bands, Six Core Classes
We divide our students into three core grade bands:
Middle School (Grades 6β8) β Classes 3A & 3B
High School (Grades 9β11) β Classes 2A & 2B
Senior Year (Grade 12) β Classes 1A & 1B
Each class functions as a cohort, moving through the curriculum together while developing strong peer and teacher bonds.
π§βπ« Looping Teachers
Each class is paired with a lead teacher who stays with the students as they move up each grade band:
A teacher who begins with Class 3A continues with them to 2A, and eventually to 1A, before returning to start again with a new 3A class.
This looping model allows teachers to:
Build long-term relationships with students
Deeply understand each studentβs learning style
Provide consistent guidance and mentorship over multiple years
π§ Tiered Learning System
All students are categorized into one of three tiers based on academic performance and developmental readiness:
Tier 1 β Advanced
Tier 2 β Competent
Tier 3 β Developing
This system ensures personalized support and differentiated instruction within every classroom.
π€ 3-Person Squads
Each class is further divided into 3-person squads, each intentionally composed of:
1 Tier 1 student
1 Tier 2 student
1 Tier 3 student
These squads:
Foster peer mentorship and collaboration
Promote equity and accountability
Engage in team-based projects, challenges, and leadership tasks
π Academic Rankings
Students within each class are ranked academically. Rankings are updated regularly and used to:
Recognize achievement
Track growth
Encourage healthy, mission-driven competition
Recognition is not just based on grades β we also honor growth, effort, and leadership within squads.
This structure is more than just organizational β it's a philosophy. It reflects our commitment to community, accountability, and transformational learning.
